Value of comic books?
I have a few thousand x-men, spiderman, and archie comics dating back to the 60’s. I am looking for the best way to find the value of these comics so I can sell them. I am looking for the best book or even a place online. Can anyone help?
The Overstreet Guide is considered by many to be the bible, but values fluctuate so much that last year’s guide is nearly obsolete. That leaves the Overstreet Update, published more frequently. There are also several buyers guides more associated with general hobbies. Check the comics specialty stores or look on line under comic collector guides in quotes. If your books are in top condition, there might be some money in the first 25 of each title. Issues after that drop off in value dramatically. If your stuff is all wracked up, you will have a hard time vending it out. Dealers only pay about 10% on the accepted value, unless you are willing to take trades. Then it’s about 20 or 25%. Only collectors will pay collector prices. A few trial runs on E Bay might be worth it. B.
