What are the ESSENTIAL comics to read for Marvel’s “War of Kings” storyline?
This crosses into a bunch of books. What are the top few you need to read to follow the story?
The main direct lead-ins are Secret Invasion: War of Kings, X-Men: Kingbreaker and Secret Invasion: Inhumans.
The Vulcan saga begins with X-Men Deadly Genesis, and continues in Uncanny X-Men 475-486 (Rise & Fall of the Shi’ar Empire) and X-Men: Emperor Vulcan. The End of Greys (Uncanny X-Men 466-471) also deals with the Shi’ar. All are available in trades.

Hercules (marvel Comics) $69.64 Hercules is a fictional character that appears in publications published by Marvel Comics. The character first appears in Journey into Mystery Annual #1 (1965) and was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby.
