I’m a writer and i want to find a comic artist to illustrate my story like that of the DC/Marvel comics.?

Also is there a chance i can pitch my story ideas to marvel or Dc comics?

Two options for finding an artist: Go to a site like Deviant Art, find an artist whose style you like, and ask them if they would be interested. OR… Advertise online, and/or in want ads and the like about what you’re looking for. Most artists will come running if you mention being paid. How much it would cost varies from artist to artist. It also depends on how many pages your comic would require, and what kind of art supplies will be needed in order to complete your comission. If you’re looking for extremely high quality work (example: Alex Ross), you’re going to pay upwards of $1,000 or more. However, you may find an artist willing to work with you for less if they are guaranteed (IN WRITING) of a share of the profits if and when you sell your comic. Some artists may charge as little as $20 per sheet, but if your comic is a long one, that $20 a sheet adds up. And the very rare artist may charge you nothing at all, and simply demand credit for their work. Good luck finding one of those. lol
And yes, there is a chance that you can pitch your story ideas to Marvel and/or DC. Both companies frequently look for new blood. I do know that Marvel requires that you submit sample chapters from a NON-comic book story to prove that you understand characterization, character development, action, dialogue, etc. It’s probably similar to how DC does it. However, pitching your ideas on a fresh hire is virtually forbidden in the comics industry; you have to earn your stripes first, or they won’t take you seriously.
