Why more Marvel movies than DC?
This questions may have been asked many times, but I am wondering why there are so many Marvel movies being made now and in the future and not as many DC.
Marvel seem to be on a roll now with Iron Man, Hulk, Avengers, Thor, Captain America and all the intertwining stroylines/clues that are in the movies (Iron Man and Hulk). They seem to be doing it really well. Now, with Batman coming out soon and Superman 2 coming out in 2010 i don’t hear anything about the other heroes. I am not a comic book fan, per se, I am a ‘movie-version’ comic book fan and do not know the intricacies of the DC and Marvel universes.
Is there a reason why Marvel seems to be pumping out the movies whereas DC seems to be sticking with only 2 (major characters)?
Does it have to do with who has rights to the characters?Marvel owns all the rights to their characters and DC doesn’t, right?
